So… what is Our Basket?

Our Basket is a modern online corner market.
It’s built on the same idea we grew up with: food isn’t just something you buy. It’s conversation, memory, comfort, and connection. We curate intentionally, choosing food we’d proudly put in our own basket at home.

Is this a new company?

No.
Same family. Same team. Same warehouse. Same care.
We’ve simply changed the name from ShopGalil to Our Basket to better reflect what the store has become — and what it’s always been at heart.

Why the new name?

Because Our Basket reflects how we think about food.
It’s personal. It’s shared. It’s built around the idea that different households can belong in the same store — each with their own needs, traditions, and preferences — and still feel seen.

Does the new name mean you’re stepping away from your roots?

No.

Our roots are the reason this store exists. The name reflects growth, not erasure. The values, people, and heritage behind the business remain unchanged.

What makes Our Basket different?

We don’t try to carry everything.

We focus on food we trust and know well, with clear information, thoughtful curation, delicious recipe suggestions, and story around where products come from and how they’re used.

Every item has a reason for being here, chosen with real people and real kitchens in mind.

Will your products still be kosher?

Yes, kosher products remain a core part of Our Basket. Items that are kosher will be more clearly labeled, with visible certification and clear product information.

That hasn’t changed.

Are you reducing your kosher selection?

No.
Kosher shoppers are one of the primary communities Our Basket was built for. Our goal is to make kosher shopping easier, clearer, and more reliable, not harder.

Who is Our Basket for?

Our Basket is for people who care about what they bring home.
Some come to us for kosher staples they trust.
Some are looking for better-for-you or thoughtfully sourced foods.
Others are just here to find something good for dinner.
However you shop, if you value food chosen with care — you’ll feel at home here.

Do you only sell kosher food?

Kosher food is still a big part of what we do.
With the rebrand, we’re able to be more thoughtful about the kosher items we carry — focusing on products kosher households rely on and come back for.
We also offer carefully selected foods for other dietary needs and everyday cooking, all chosen with the same care and standards.

How do you choose what you sell?

If we wouldn’t serve it, gift it, or keep it in our own kitchens, it doesn’t go in the basket.
That’s pretty much our rule.

Do you ship everywhere?

We ship across the U.S.
We ship to the continental  US except Hawaii and Alaska

How much is shipping?

Shipping options and timing are always shown at checkout. 

Where can I see ingredients and labels?

Every product page includes clear ingredient lists and dietary info.
If you ever have a question, just ask.

What if I need help with an order?

You’ll reach a real person.
We believe service matters as much as product. If something’s off, or you have a question, we’re here to help and make it right.

Do I need to create a new account?

No.
If you’ve shopped with us before, your account will still work. You’ll be able to log in and shop as usual.

Will my order history still be there?

Yes.
Your past orders will remain connected to your account, so you can still reference what you’ve purchased before.

Do my saved addresses and payment methods carry over?

Yes.
Saved addresses and payment details will continue to be available in your account, just as they were before.

So… what is Our Basket?

No.
Kosher certifications are not changing. Kosher products will continue to be clearly labeled, with visible certification information available on product pages.

Will gift cards or store credit still work?

Yes.
All existing gift cards and store credit will continue to work on OurBasket.

Will prices change because of the rebrand?

No.
The rebrand itself does not affect pricing. Prices are still based on product costs, sourcing, and shipping — just as they always have been.

Will Galil products be taken off the site?

No.
Galil products are still an important part of what we carry. The rebrand simply allows us to organize the store more thoughtfully and also highlight other brands alongside Galil.


Shipping

Where's my order?

Upon placing your order, you will promptly receive a confirmation email. Once the order is picked, packed and shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. Orders typically ship within 1-2 business days. You can always track the status of your order on our tracking page.

How much is shipping?

We offer free standard shipping on all orders over $50 (within continental U.S.), after any discounts, coupons or promotions. Any orders under $50 will have $7 flat rate shipping. Expedited shipping is available at additional rates, shown at checkout. See more about our shipping policy.

What is the estimated delivery time?

We typically ship orders out by the next business day. Delivery times range from 3-7 business days depending on delivery location.

Where do your products ship from?

We ship directly from our warehouse in Long Island, NY

Do you ship to Canada?

Yes, we do offer shipping to Canada, however this would be charged at standard carrier rates for the shipping, as well as any customs clearance fees. These will be calculated automatically at checkout upon entering your Canadian shipping address.

Do you ship internationally?

Unfortunately we do not offer international shipping at this time.


Returns

What is your return policy?

We offer a 30-day return & exchange policy. To be eligible for a return/exchange, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unopened and undamaged, in its original packaging. See more about our refund policy.

What do I do if I received broken or damaged products?

We're so sorry that happened! We'd be happy to send out a replacement for you. 

Please reach out to us via the online chatcontact us page or email with photos of the damage and we'll take care of the rest.


Orders

I have a discount code, where can I add it to my order?

At checkout you will see a field for the Discount Code underneath the products in your order. You can add the code and then click Apply.

Can I add to my order after it's been placed?

Unfortunately we're unable to edit your order after it's been placed, however you can reach out to us to cancel and replace your order with a new one as long as it hasn't been packed yet. Please reach out to us via the online chatcontact us page or email.

Can I cancel my order?

If your order has not yet been shipped then we can cancel it, otherwise it would have to go through the Refund process which may incur shipping fees. Please reach out to us via the online chatcontact us page or email immediately in order to process a cancellation.


Billing

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, ShopPay and Apple Pay.

Why am I being charged Sales Tax?

Each state has it's own rules regarding Sales Tax for online orders. Sales Tax will be automatically applied based on those rules and the delivery address entered at checkout.


Products

Can I get more detailed information on a product?

Absolutely! We do our best to provide all basic information on the production page, but if there's something specific that's missing feel free to reach out to us with any questions.

Where are your products made?

We pride ourselves on sourcing quality products from all over the world. At ShopGalil.com you'll find products from over 50 countries!

How can find out the Best Before Date on a certain product?

Please reach out to us via the online chatcontact us page or email with the product and the production code (usually a set of letters and numbers starting with GA printed on the product).

Are your products Gluten Free, Organic, Non-GMO, Vegan, etc?

With over 1,000 unique products, we have something for everyone. We have products that are Gluten Free, Organic, Non-GMO, Vegan - this information is on each product page under the Product Details drop down. You can also use our Smart Search to search for products with those specifications.

Are your products Kosher or Halal?

Many of our products are, this information is on each product page under the Product Details drop down.


Wholesale

Can I purchase Wholesale?

Yes, if you are a business you can purchase from us Wholesale. For low minimums you can purchase via our channel on Faire.com. For larger orders you can reach out to our Wholesale team at hi@ourbasket.com
